*How The Wench Stole Springtime
(An expose of the real reason behind this exceptionally wet May!)
Everyone on 2 wheels loved Springtime a lot.
But the Wench who lived in the gated-community did not.
The Wench hated springtime - The whole riding season
If you asked why, she'd make up this reason:
"It's the noise! Oh, the noise that I hate!"
"Oh keep them away! Away from my gate!"
"Our laws have done nothing!" she started stressing
And she sat at her window, gloomily professing:
"At the first sign of the sun, they'll hop on their bikes."
"They'll rev up their engines, you've never heard the likes!"
"They're polishing their chrome, and filling their tanks"
"Soon they'll come riding over valleys and banks"
She had to think fast to stop this onslaught.
Then what a wonderful, awful idea she got!
She hopped in her mini-van and headed to town.
"This better work'" she said with a frown.
With a brief cell call and a fistful of cash,
She made a deal as quick as a flash.
When she got home, she laughed out loud
Thinking of all that won't happen now:
"They no longer will ride on our streets!"
"No more poker runs! And no more swap meets!"
As the rain continued to pour, she wore an evil grin.
The rain would keep coming to prevent this riding sin.
She waited for the silence she knew would be there,
As all the bikers would have to forbear.
But off in the distance a small sound grew.
It was a sound too familiar - a sound she knew!
She ran from her room to see how this could be.
When along came the rider soaked but free.
He tossed out a helmet to the fuming Wench.
"Hop on!" he said, without making a flinch.
The Wench slowly sighed, knowing she was beat.
She hoped on the bike in grouchy defeat.
Then the Wench thought of something she hadn't before
And the harder she thought the less the rain did pour.
As the sun came out and the wind blew on her face.
All the hatred and fear began to erase.
And as they set off car alarms with their loud roars
The Wench got visions of riding a lot more!
She leaned toward the driver with a wicked grin
"Go 'round the block and do it again!"
