Combining my love of riding, especially back roads that wander among the lesser traveled byways, whatever the season, my love of nature and immersing myself in natural surrounding, and my long standing interest in astronomy I have learned to find inspiration in each moment and vision, from the tiniest creature making its slow progress among the fallen leaves of the forest to the vastness of the universe that hangs above us and presents its spectacle of lights each night. This poem is a compilation of images and emotions that are a direct result of those unique set of interests. Unique not because I am so vain as to think that such a combination of interests is unique to myself, but rather that the specific set of circumstances that brought me to each point in my life is unique, as indeed it is for each individual.
While perhaps not directly motorcycle related, as there are no direct references to it in this poem, many of the images that form a basis work, as with many of my writings, are such that I may well have missed had I not been traveling by such conveyance merely because I may well not have taken the opportunity to stop and enjoy some splendor that I came upon in my travels.

Captured Tranquility Moments
An apricot evening
Painted with the colors of winter.
Shoreline reflections
Locked within the frozen water.
Winter flocks
Flying in formation.
Still waters
Ice flattened, serene and unmoving.
A tangerine transition
To a lunar-lit landscape,
As darkness descends
With the finality of fading colors.
Formulations of shadow-land images
Built of barren branches,
Invade my senses.
I indulge myself in
Keplerian contemplations
Beneath a mid-winter moonscape sky.
