The Flavor of Summer is Green

By Jeffry L’H. Tank

The flavor of summer is green
The sound of summer is gold
The smells of summer are hidden in sun-lit shadows

The flavor of fall is yellow
The sound of fall is orange-red
The smells of fall are hidden in moon-beam glowings

The flavor of winter is white
The sound of winter is red
The smells of winter are hidden in wind-whispered thoughts

The flavor of spring is yellow
The sound of spring is tangerine
The smells of spring are hidden in reawakening earth-tones

The flavor of the ride is a mixture of the seasons
The sound of the ride is the color of the rainbow
The smells of the ride are hidden in sweet-water images

You can ride a thousand miles a day
     And remember nothing.
               OR
You can ride a few hundred and bring home
Memories that will last a lifetime.

Which would you prefer?
