Maple Festival

Hi! I was searching for the dates for the Highland County Maple Festival for this year and came across your website and story about your visit to the Festival. All I can say is that you HAVE to go back for the doughnuts at the trailer and wait in the line no matter how long it is. My family has been traveling from over an hour away in WV to visit the festival just for the doughnuts for over 20 years. No kidding.

We can hardly wait to get to the car with our 3 or 4 dozen so that we can each eat at least just one. They are THE BEST hot out of the oil and sugary maple coating. The leftovers go back home to other family and friends, but they are never as good as those first hot ones. In my opinion, you missed the best part of the whole two weekend event. So hopefully, you can make it back this year and just maybe you'll get lucky and find a shorter line.
