I have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate my firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses my information gathering and dissemination practices for this website and my monthly email newsletter containing an introduction to new articles on VirginiaWind.com. It's a pretty generic privacy statement, but each word is sincere - I really do respect the privacy of each person that visits VirginiaWind and consider it a matter of personal honor between adults and fellow bikers.

I do use your IP address to learn the domains visiting this site (not your specific identity). Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. If you would like to see the information, please feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to share it with you.

This site's forms require users to give me contact information (like their name and email address) and demographic information (like their city). Your contact information is used to contact you when necessary, and provide contact information for submissions to the website. I do NOT sell, share, or otherwise provide my email list to anyone. I cannot 100% assure your that you will not be spammed as a result of being on my list because anything can be hacked, but I make every effort I know of to keep you folks safe.

I make every attempt possible to assure the content of VirginiaWind remains child safe. VirginiaWind is not, however, intended to attract child visitors. Public Forums

Please remember that any information that is disclosed on VirginiaWind becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Posting your email address in any area WILL allow the spam email harvesters to get your address and you will get spam.

Choice/Opt-Out

This site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from me at the point where I request information about the visitor. This site gives users the following options for removing their information from my database to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service. Simply send email to virginiawind@virginiawind.com. I will probably send you a personal email in response, but you will be removed from my database. A snail mail address is available upon request (I don't post our physical address on this site because I don't want to give the address where my bike is parked to potential theives ).
