Unsung Heroes

By: Dawn Glencer

I just did a website for a friend who does awesome paint and graphics work. His name is Buddy Woodhall and his shop is East Coast Kustom (formerly known as Cyclegraphics) in Springfield, VA. The site address is http://www.eastcoastkustom.com.

He's a great guy -- he donated a $2000 paint job for the benefit I did for the Pentagon Relief Fund last November (we raised over $10,000, by the way!) Plus he had a bunch of firefighters from Arlington who were the first on the scene at the Pentagon on Sept 11th -- lots of them had damaged helmets so they brought the new ones into Buddy to get the Pentagon logo painted on them with the date in the middle.

Buddy went above and beyond and painted American flag graphics over the entire helmet... and to top it off, he refused to charge them for it. Needless to say, the guys were pretty teary-eyed when they picked up their helmets.

Dawn is a hero in her own right. Check out this article on DefenseLINK.
