The Natural Bridge, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, is
located just five minutes away from Interstate 81, off Exits 175 and 180.

For a great ride, good roads and beautiful scenery, we recommend a ride
from Fredricksburg to the Natural Bridge by way of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
From Stafford, we took route 17 north to route 28 south, which ends
at route 29 south. From there, we took route 29 south to 230 west. This
took us through Wolftown. In Wolftown, near Madison we found a great romantic
bed & breakfast called the Old Rose Tavern. This is a great place to spend
the night half way to the bridge from Washington, DC.
We continued our ride to route 33 west. From there we took route 11
south, which took us to The Natural Bridge. An alternate route is to take
Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway south to route 60 west and then
go over to route 11 south.
To end the ride with a nice weekend getaway, we recommend the hotel
located at the bridge. It has a lot of charm, big rooms, and a refreshing
indoor pool.
Reaching The Natural Bridge is quicker of course, by going down I81,
but the ride is not nearly as much fun or as scenic.
